After not doing a Sunday Movies post in ages, I have decided to retire this feature. I will leave all the posts here, but it is unlikely that any more will be appearing. The reason behind it all is because on Sunday afternoons when I was either farming materials in WoW or starting up on WH40K hobby, I was up in my room and I would stick a bunch of movies on as background noise. Over time though I have quit playing WoW, and all my hobby is done in the living room being more sociable. RIP Sunday Movies, it was fun while it lasted.

Due to the overall Christmas rush I didn’t manage to squeeze in any Sunday Movies in the weekend just gone. I did however, make a trip to the cinema last night to see Avatar. Not the ultra cool 3D Imax version, but I might attempt to rectify that in the coming month or so…
This week I decided to reacquaint myself with the Matrix Trilogy. It has been a while since I last saw these, and I have never watched them all back to back…
Oh wow the memories that come back from rewatching the first film, the excitement and wonder from this film that just blew all expectations out of the water. I even saw it several times in the cinema!
Following on to the sequels, yeah they were good films, but never managed to completely recapture the magic.

This week for Sunday Movies I caught up on Dexter (I was 3 episodes behind the current) and I watched Zombie Land. Not gonna say much about Dexter as it is an ongoing series that I don’t want to spoil for anyone, but continue after the jump for my thoughts on this fun new take on the zombie genre.
For anyone who has been watching on Twitter, I do a thing every Sunday that I have rather unimaginatively titled “Sunday Movies”. It usually involves me picking a couple of movies that I stick on the box while I get on and do other things.
In the past I have been posting these on Twitter each week, but I want to expand this feature on to the website giving a bit of text on each movie, what I like about them, why I chose them etc.
